I've found evidence of herder camps on the Carson mesa. At my house in Ranchos I've dug up horse shoes, 100 year old bullet cases, cast iron pots, a flat iron. If you're curious about what is just below the surface I can scan and pull up everything from cobbler's tacks to Spanish gold.
